Career Highlights

 Rory was a member of Europe’s Junior Ryder Cup-winning squad in the year 2004, which was hosted in Ohio. When he was only fifteen years old at the time, he won the West of Ireland Championship and the Irish Close Championship for the first time in the year 2005, making him the youngest champion of both events. Following his victories in the year 2005, Rory chose to pursue a golf scholarship and play amateur golf in Europe. At the 2007 Open Championship, Rory was also given the Silver Medal as the leading amateur. He was also a member of Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup squad in 2007.

On September 18, 2007, Rory signed with International Sports Management and became a professional golfer. In the year 2007 season, he earned €277,254 as the youngest member to acquire a tour card.
