Jade Goody was a British television personality who rose to prominence in 2002 after appearing on the third series of Channel 4’s reality show “Big Brother.” She also rose to prominence due to her lack of basic knowledge, with British tabloids vilifying and criticizing her.
She later made news for her role in “Celebrity Big Brother,” as well as the racial abuse she and other housemates heaped on fellow competitor Shilpa Shetty. She appeared on Big Boss, India’s version of Big Brother, but left the show early and returned to the UK after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. Following her eviction from the show, she went on to star in her own television shows, which led to her launching a variety of products under her own name.
Before pursuing a career in entertainment, she worked as a dental nurse. She died of cancer while asleep in her Essex, England home. By February 2009, her cancer had spread and she was gravely ill. She married fellow Celebrity Big Brother competitor Jack Tweed on February 22, 2009, and died one month later, on March 22, 2009, at the age of 27.

How did Jade Goody from Big Brother died?
Goody died in her sleep in the early hours of March 22, 2009, at her home in Upshire, Essex. She passes away at the age of 27. Cervical cancer was the cause of her death. Her claimed death time differs depending on the source. When she died, her mother, husband, and family friend Kevin Adams were by her side. Her burial service was held at St John’s Anglican Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, at noon on April 4, and she was buried in her wedding gown later that day near her home in Epping Forest.
The funeral procession included a Bentley. Her boys were not there at the burial. Thousands of people watched the funeral procession on huge screens outside the cathedral. Sky News observed the service from outside since Goody had requested a private ceremony for friends and family.
Throughout the 2000s, Goody experienced a number of health scares. A cervical smear test in 2002 (shortly before her Big Brother 3 participation) detected abnormal cells, a probable indicator of malignancy. She was checked for iridocyclitis in 2004 and bowel cancer in 2006, and both tests came up clear. Jade Goody, who was only 15 when she caught the HPV virus, underwent repeated procedures to remove the dead cells from her body, but they returned even after the birth of her second son in 2004.
Despite repeated cancer scans in 2004 and 2006, her doctors were unable to diagnose her, even after she miscarried Jack Tweed’s baby at just 12 weeks in June 2007. Later tests would confirm that she had cancer at the time. Her cancer was discovered in August 2008, but it was too late. She’d had cancer for nearly two years at that point. Surgeries revealed that her cancer had spread fast, decreasing her prospects of survival. Goody’s cancer was declared “advanced and life-threatening” on September 1, 2008, and she will undergo surgery followed by chemotherapy. Doctors predicted she had a 65 percent chance of surviving.
According to her spokesperson, more testing and a radical hysterectomy “went smoothly,” and Goody began chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Goody told Irish station RTÉ that she had begun preparing her funeral, was losing her hair, and had decided not to communicate her sickness to her children, who were four and five at the time. Max Clifford, Goody’s publicist, announced cancer had progressed to her liver, colon, and groin on February 4, 2009. Her previous 40% likelihood of surviving was removed, and she began treatment to extend her life. Clifford stated on February 7 that Goody had emergency surgery in London to remove a malignancy on her colon.
Clifford confirmed to the media on 14 February that physicians at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London had diagnosed her cancer as terminal; she may die within weeks and was unlikely to live more than a few months: “She was informed yesterday that she is terminally ill. She was clearly heartbroken.” Jade Goody died on March 22, 2009, after a long fight with cancer. Her death raised awareness about cervical cancer and prompted many women to seek information about it.
