Hwang Ui-jo is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux and the South Korean national team. He began playing football for Seongnam FC’s young team in 2008 and continued till 2011. He joined Yonsei University’s youth team in 2011 and played till 2013. He returned to Seongnam FC on a free transfer in 2013 and made his debut on March 3, 2013.

After four and a half seasons with Seongnam FC, he signed a two-year contract with J1 League team Gamba Osaka on July 1, 2017. On July 29, 2017, he made his debut for the club.
