Edward Gene Rendell, sometimes known as Ed Rendell, is an American lawyer, prosecutor, politician, and author. He is also a Democratic Party member who served as the 45th Governor of Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2011, as well as chair of the national Democratic Party and Mayor of Philadelphia from 1992 to 2000.
