Career Highlights

 Blake commenced his basketball career while still in college. When he was playing against the Kansas Jayhawks in 2008, he injured his left knee. He was taken as the first choice in the 2009 NBA draught by the Los Angeles Clippers in April of that year. He was hurt in his kneecap during the game and was unable to compete for many matches. Griffin missed the rest of the 2009–2010 season after undergoing surgery for a shattered left kneecap in January 2010. He was unable to play in the 2009 and 2010 seasons due to his injuries. In his NBA debut, Blake scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against the Portland Trail Blazers.

He set a new career-best with 47 points against the Indiana Pacers on January 17, 2011. In his first season, he became the first rookie to have two games with 40 points or more. During the All-Star break, Blake competed in the 2011 Rookie Challenge and won the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. On July 10, 2012, Griffin agreed to a five-year contract deal for $95 million. On March 26, 2018, Blake suffered a bone bruise in his right ankle while playing against the Los Angeles Lakers. As a result, he was forced to miss the remaining eight games of the season. Griffin was out for the first ten games of the 2019–20 season due to left knee surgery. Blake had a second surgery on his left knee on January 7, 2020, after playing 18 games with the Pistons. Griffin was forced to sit out the rest of the season due to the injury. Griffin returned to duty at the start of the 2020–21 season, despite his injuries. Griffin struggled in the early half of the season, scoring near-career lows of 12.3 points per game and 5.2 rebounds in just 20 games.

Griffin played his final game for the Pistons on February 15, 2021, while he awaited a trade or buyout from the franchise. The Pistons purchased Griffin’s contract on March 5. Blake signed with the Brooklyn Nets on March 8, 2021. In a 113–106 win over the Washington Wizards on March 21, Griffin made his Nets debut, with two points, two rebounds, and a block in 15 minutes of action off the bench. In a 113–109 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks on May 6, Griffin had his first double-double as a Net with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
