Keoghan was in school plays as a kid, but he was kicked out for “messing about.” In 2011, he began his acting career. After noticing a casting call for Between the Canals in a local store window, he responded to the ad and played Aido in the film, which was released in 2011. He then went to The Factory, a local Dublin school, to study acting. He made his debut in Fair City the same year, at the age of eighteen.
On Love/Hate in 2013, Keoghan played Wayne, the “infamous cat murderer.” Keoghan’s performance gained him acclaim in Ireland, and he went on to star in ’71 in 2014, as well as Mammal and Trespass Against Us in 2016.
