The complete list of 2022 Oscars nominees

The 94th Academy Awards will be held on March 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The 94th Academy Awards nominees were unveiled on Tuesday, reigniting Oscar excitement. With 12 nods, Jane Campion’s gritty western The Power of the Dog, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, tops this year’s Oscar nominees.

Dune comes in second with ten, followed by Belfast and West Side Story with seven each. The British acting candidates in the major categories include Olivia Colman, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andrew Garfield. Supporting actors Dame Judi Dench and Ciarán Hinds have been nominated. Belfast, Sir Kenneth Branagh’s autobiographical black-and-white film about a family in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, included both of them.

Nominees were announced for all 23 categories, including best film, best director, and acting categories, as well as crafts categories such as best sound, best production design, best makeup and hairstyling, and best visual effects. The event was hosted by Leslie Jordan and Tracee Ellis Ross.

The ceremony will be hosted by Leslie Jordan and Tracee Ellis Ross, and will be live broadcast on Oscar.com and Oscars.org, as well as the Academy’s digital channels including Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook. The Academy Awards will be held on March 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Last year’s event was held at a railway station in Los Angeles with no host.
